Scale.jobs Alternatives: 5 Options, Honestly Compared

Careerify publishes this guide and is one of the services compared. Every figure below was verified on each company’s live website on 26 July 2026. Where Scale.jobs is the better buy — and for a lot of people it is — we say so.

Scale.jobs sells prepaid application packs, not a subscription: $199 for 250 applications up to $1,099 for 1,100. Human assistants do the submitting. Most people looking at alternatives are asking one of two things — “is there something cheaper per application?” (almost certainly not) or “what do I give up by buying a pack instead of a service?” This guide answers the second.

What is the best Scale.jobs alternative?

If you want raw applications per dollar, there isn’t one — Scale.jobs wins that outright. Choose an alternative when you want a delivery guarantee (they publish none), an ongoing service rather than a finite pack, or senior-level support. Careerify at $150–$720/month is the closest like-for-like; Find My Profession is the executive option.

First — who should just buy the Scale.jobs pack?

Plenty of people should, and the per-application maths isn’t close. If your constraint is budget, $399 for 1,000 applications is less than two months of most monthly services. If you hate subscriptions, their human service is a genuine one-time payment — “one time payment · no subscription” appears seven times on their pricing page, and they offer Klarna instalments. Careerify, by contrast, needs a card for the 5-day trial and then bills monthly.

If you want a big block of applications at once, 1,000–1,100 in a single purchase exceeds what any Careerify plan below Dedicated delivers in a month. They also send a proof screenshot for every application — that’s parity with our dashboard, not something we do better — and they publish international coverage where we’re US-centric.

One thing we’ll credit them for that most of this category doesn’t do: they publish their own one-star reviews with founder replies, and disclose plainly that their assistants are offshore and that resume tailoring is AI-assisted. That’s more transparency than the norm here.

What you give up with a prepaid pack

No delivery guarantee. We searched their pricing page: the word “guarantee” doesn’t appear on it, and their Terms §2.1 states plainly that they “do not guarantee interviews, offers, compensation, immigration outcomes, or admissions.” A pack buys you a number of submissions, not a promise about pace or outcome.

A $100 deduction from any refund. Their Terms §6.1 set out a pro-rata refund formula with a one-time $100 fee deducted from any refund — on the $199 Basic pack that’s half the purchase price, and it applies even if few applications went out. Section 6.3 makes that pro-rata refund your “exclusive remedy.” None of this appears on the pricing page itself; you have to open the Terms to find it.

Paid add-ons on every tier but the top one. Job sourcing, AI custom resumes, resume writing and LinkedIn work are priced extras on Basic, Standard and Best Value — only the $1,099 Ultimate bundles them. Their headline “$598” offer is the $399 plan plus the $199 job-finding add-on, which is worth knowing before you compare it to a monthly price that includes sourcing.

Careerify — when you want a guarantee and an ongoing service

A dedicated human recruiter finds matching roles and submits applications, with every submission visible in your dashboard. $150–$720/month for 50–300+ applications, cancel anytime, with a written Application Delivery Guarantee — your plan’s application floor in your first 30 paid days, or a free month.

Where we lose, plainly: on price per application we are several times more expensive, and there is no honest way to dress that up. We have no free tier, so there’s nowhere to try us without paying. Our Trustpilot profile is 4.3/5 from 7 reviews against their 4.6/5 from 228 — theirs is a far larger sample. And a subscription is a worse instrument than a pack if you are watching every recurring charge.

Where we’re the better instrument: you get a published monthly floor with a remedy attached, your downside is capped at one month rather than a pack minus $100, and sourcing is included rather than an add-on. If your search runs long and you want someone accountable for pace, that’s the trade.

Find My Profession, Career Agents and Reverse Recruiting Agency

All three sit well above both Careerify and Scale.jobs on price, and they’re solving a different problem — access rather than volume. Find My Profession charges $3,000/month flat or $1,500/month plus 8% of first-year salary, with US-based named recruiters carrying 5–7 clients each and human networking outreach; it’s the executive pick, and we compare it in detail in our Find My Profession alternatives guide.

Career Agents sells fixed packages from $999 one-time to $14,999, with payment plans available. Reverse Recruiting Agency runs $1,500–$2,500/month with a success fee and credits your first month against it. Both publish figures that differ between pages on their own sites, so pin down the specifics in writing before you sign.

How to choose

  • Cheapest per application, no subscription: Scale.jobs. Nothing here beats it on that metric.
  • You want a floor with a remedy attached: Careerify — the pack model carries no delivery guarantee.
  • Your search may run months and you want to stop paying when you land: a monthly service, not a pack you’ve prepaid.
  • The roles you want aren’t posted: Find My Profession — you need outreach, not volume.
  • Before buying anything, open the refund terms. That’s where the differences actually live in this category.
Sponsorship-aware search

Searching with visa sponsorship in mind

Many candidates waste applications on roles that won't sponsor. Careerify can focus your search on roles that signal sponsorship openness or work-authorization compatibility and skip the obvious no-sponsorship postings — so your applications go where they have a chance. You share your work authorization and needs at intake; your recruiter targets accordingly and tracks everything in your dashboard.

We do
  • Prioritize roles that indicate sponsorship openness.
  • Avoid postings that clearly exclude sponsorship.
  • Focus limited applications where they count.
We don't
  • Provide immigration or legal advice.
  • Guarantee sponsorship.
  • Make visa decisions — those rest with the employer and your own counsel.

Careerify is not an immigration law firm and does not provide legal advice, guarantee sponsorship, or make visa decisions. Candidates are responsible for answering all work-authorization questions truthfully.

Sponsorship-aware targeting is best paired with Elite or Dedicated when the search needs more coverage. Read Priya's visa-aware search story

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Scale.jobs sells prepaid application packs rather than a subscription: $199 for 250 applications, $299 for 500, $399 for 1,000, and $1,099 for an 1,100-application bundle that includes all premium add-ons. Each is labelled “one time payment · no subscription,” and Klarna instalments are offered. On the lower tiers, job sourcing and resume work are paid extras. Verified on scale.jobs/pricing on 26 July 2026.
No delivery, outcome or money-back guarantee is published on their pricing page — the word “guarantee” does not appear on it. Their Terms state they do not guarantee interviews, offers or compensation. They do publish a pro-rata refund formula, but a one-time $100 fee is deducted from any refund and that refund is defined as your exclusive remedy. Careerify by contrast publishes an Application Delivery Guarantee: your plan's application floor in the first 30 paid days, or a free month.
Per application, clearly yes — their packs work out far cheaper than any monthly service including ours, and we won't pretend otherwise. The comparison is less clear over time: a pack is a fixed quantity you've prepaid, while a monthly service can be cancelled the moment you land a job. If you expect a short search, the pack is cheaper. If you want someone accountable for a monthly floor and the option to stop, a subscription is the better instrument.
4.6 out of 5 from 228 reviews as of 26 July 2026, rated “Excellent,” with 196 five-star and 13 one-star reviews. Worth noting: their own pricing page displays “4.8 on Trustpilot” in its trust bar while the live Trustpilot widget on that same page reads 4.6 — we cite the figure Trustpilot itself reports. For context, Careerify's profile is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 reviews; a much younger profile with a much smaller sample.
Yes. Human assistants submit the applications — one assistant on the Basic and Standard packs, two on Best Value and Ultimate — and they send a proof screenshot for every application. They also disclose openly that their assistants are based offshore and that resume tailoring is AI-assisted. That level of disclosure is more than most services in this category offer.
