Welcome to Careerify. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.careerify.io and any related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Careerify ("Careerify," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Careerify is a reverse recruiting service. We assign a dedicated human recruiter to apply to jobs on your behalf, based on the preferences and information you provide. We may also offer related services such as resume writing (a base resume rewrite and job-type resumes), cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile writing, and access to a resource library, depending on your subscription plan or the add-ons you purchase.
Careerify is not an employer, staffing agency, recruiter for any specific company, job board, automation tool, or career coaching service. We submit applications on your behalf to third-party employers; we do not control hiring decisions, interview outcomes, or job offers.
2. Eligibility
To use Careerify, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. Notify us immediately at support@careerify.io if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscription Plans, Billing, and Free Trial
4.1 Plans
Careerify offers monthly and quarterly self-serve subscription plans:
- Starter — $150/month, 10 recruiter hours, ~50 applications.
- Pro — $280/month, 20 recruiter hours, ~100 applications, and a master cover letter included.
- Elite — $455/month, 35 recruiter hours, ~175 applications, and a resume rewrite included.
- Executive — $720/month, 60 recruiter hours, ~300 applications, and resume + LinkedIn rewrite included.
- Dedicated — custom pricing by quote for high-volume searches, with a dedicated recruiter working only your search.
Quarterly self-serve plans save 15% and are billed every three months. Resume rewrite, job-type resume, job-type cover letter, and LinkedIn rewrite add-ons are available for $89, $40 per job title, $30 per job title, and $79, respectively, unless included in your plan. A job-type resume is written from your base resume, so it is available once you have a resume rewrite purchased or included, and work on it usually starts after your base resume is delivered. A job-type cover letter is written from your master cover letter, so it is available once you have a master cover letter purchased or included.
A master cover letter is included with Pro, Elite, Executive and Dedicated plans from your first paid month (not during the free trial); on Starter it is a $49 one-time add-on. The master cover letter, resume rewrite and LinkedIn rewrite are one per customer. Once you have one, bought or included with a paid month of your plan, it stays yours if you change or cancel your plan (to start one after your plan has ended, resubscribe), and we don't sell a second. A refund of that purchase ends it. If a plan payment is fully refunded or charged back, a document it included that the writer hasn't started yet ends too (for the master cover letter, only when no other plan payment stands). If you already have one when you move to a plan that includes it, that plan doesn't add a second one, and what you paid for the first isn't refunded. On a Dedicated plan, the one-per-customer limit doesn't apply to the resume and LinkedIn rewrite requests the plan includes.
If your subscription was active when these plan inclusions took effect on October 15, 2026, the master cover letter, resume rewrite and LinkedIn rewrite your plan included are yours to keep, one of each; if it was still in its free trial, they become yours when the trial turns into your first paid month. While you stay on Elite or Executive you also keep its monthly job-type writing: on Elite, 1 job-type cover letter each month; on Executive, 1 job-type resume and 1 job-type cover letter each month. Changing to another plan ends that monthly writing.
Paid recruiter hours (plan hours, early-commitment bonus hours, top-ups, and referral hours) never expire. They roll over from month to month, and if your subscription ends for any reason other than our termination of your account for cause under the second paragraph of Section 10, your recruiter keeps working until every paid hour on your account has been used (or until the search is closed early as Section 10 describes). If we approve a refund, the recruiter hours that refund covers are removed from your balance; if you open a chargeback, the hours that charge paid for are removed from your balance, as described in our Refund Policy. Free-trial hours are not paid hours (see Section 4.2). The Dedicated plan is priced by quote and is not measured in hours. Hours on your balance when you move to the Dedicated plan stay there; they aren't worked while you're on Dedicated or after it ends, and they carry into any self-serve plan you restart.
4.2 Free Trial
We offer a 5-day free trial that includes 2 hours on Starter and Pro, 3 hours on Elite, or 4 hours on Executive. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for your selected plan. You may cancel anytime during the trial through your dashboard or by emailing support@careerify.io. Free-trial hours don't carry over if you cancel before your trial converts. Free-trial hours are for the trial only. Any left when your paid plan begins don't carry over either — your plan's own hours start then.
4.3 Billing
Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or quarterly until cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle. All fees are in U.S. dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.
4.4 Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, that cycle's plan hours aren't added until the payment goes through. While it is past due, your recruiter keeps working the paid hours already on your account; once those are used, recruiter work pauses until the payment is resolved, and then the new hours are added. If the subscription ends because the payment could not be collected, the paid hours still on your account are used: your recruiter keeps working until they run out. Free-trial time is not paid hours: if the first charge after a trial fails, your plan hasn't started and recruiter work waits for that payment. Dedicated plans, which have no hour balance, pause while a payment is past due.
4.5 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information, including resume content, work history, qualifications, and contact details.
- Promptly respond to your recruiter when input or clarification is needed.
- Maintain accurate preferences, including job titles, salary, and location, so your recruiter can target relevant roles.
- Use the Service only for your own personal job search and not on behalf of another person without our written permission.
- Not use the Service for unlawful purposes, including misrepresenting your qualifications, identity, or work authorization.
You acknowledge that submitting false or misleading information to employers may have legal and professional consequences for which you alone are responsible.
6. Recruiter Services and No Guarantees
Careerify provides effort-based services, not outcome-based services. While we work hard to deliver consistent, high-quality applications, we make no guarantee of:
- A specific number of interviews.
- Receiving a job offer.
- Any particular salary, role, or employer outcome.
- Response times from employers.
7. Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive service-related communications from us, including emails about your applications, account, and recruiter messages. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time, but transactional emails are required for service delivery.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Careerify website and dashboard, including text, graphics, logos, software, and the resource library, is owned by Careerify or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of your resume, cover letters, and personal information. By using the Service, you grant Careerify a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and submit your materials solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
9. Third-Party Sites and Employers
The Service involves submitting applications to third-party websites and employers. We are not responsible for the content, policies, hiring practices, or actions of any third party. Your interactions with employers, including interviews and offers, are solely between you and that employer.
10. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard or by contacting support@careerify.io. Cancellation stops billing at the end of your current billing cycle, and you keep full access to the Service until then. After that, your recruiter keeps working, and your dashboard and chat stay open, until every paid recruiter hour on your account has been used, or until we close the search early because you've asked us to stop — for example, because you've accepted a job. To stop early, message your recruiter or email support@careerify.io. Any hours left then stay on your balance and carry into any plan you restart.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without refund, if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, harass your recruiter or our staff, provide fraudulent information, or engage in conduct that we reasonably determine is harmful to us, our staff, or other users. Any remaining hours end with an account we terminate for these reasons.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR PRODUCE ANY SPECIFIC RESULT.
This section does not disclaim the Application Delivery Guarantee. That guarantee is an express commitment we make deliberately and in writing: if we don't submit your plan's guaranteed number of applications out of your first month's recruiter hours, you get a month of your plan free. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference, it survives the disclaimer above, and nothing in these Terms limits it. Its full terms — including the eligibility conditions and how to claim — are at careerify.io/guarantee.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAREERIFY AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, OR LOST WAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Careerify and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any misrepresentation in materials submitted on your behalf.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Boca Raton, Florida, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court. You and Careerify each waive the right to participate in a class action.
